Your opinions on the hashtag #RideTheWave?
“I find its meaning to be really complex. The waves of strength, transformation, or fresh starts could all be represented by them. That is, at least, how I perceive it. It also provides us with the chance to create numerous versions of our ensembles! hues, patterns, and an individual’s perspective on waves.
Designer Cooperation?
Since this is my first Durban July, I wanted to make it more special by working with a tailor who is more familiar with my silhouette. Because designers are constantly bombarded with requests, it may be a little nerve-racking, so I was very particular about the things I needed. But, I’m thrilled to announce that I’ll be working with Steve Madden South Africa on my shoes and accessories!”
What Was the Outfit’s Inspiration?
“I immediately thought of a mermaid when I saw the topic! I was captivated with them as a child, so I imagined a silhouette that flows like water.
most eager to see?
“Definitely striking up a conversation with a few folks at the parties and during our interviews with other Unilever products! It has been reported that I won’t be able to catch anything early, therefore I had to change my flights!”
So, the Hollywood Bets Durban July is sure to be a memorable occasion, whether you’re there for the great company, the racing, or the fashion. Mzansi, get ready to surf the wave!
Khomo Phuthi
Your opinions on the hashtag #RideTheWave?
“I adore this year’s Durban July theme, #RideTheWave! It embodies the spirit of embracing the momentum and excitement of the occasion and is incredibly refreshing.
Designer Cooperation?
“I’m excited to be working with Masango by Siphosihle, a talented designer who has created a stunning outfit that perfectly embodies the spirit of the theme.”
What Was the Outfit’s Inspiration?
“The idea of flowing with the tide and the waves of the ocean served as my inspiration. Things that originate from the water and are carried ashore by the waves, such as pearls and sparkling gems, served as our inspiration. Yes, the goal is to walk among the people looking like a mermaid that has just washed up on shore. I wanted to wear something that was elegant, confident, and full of movement.
Most Anticipated?
“Of course, there’s the thrilling horse racing, the fashion, and the electrifying atmosphere!”
Mongy Doro
Your opinions on the hashtag #RideTheWave?
“I adore the motif so much. It seems to me like a critique of the state of politics right now. The nation is going to experience exciting new developments as a result of the shifting tide. Because waves are erratic, we are encouraged to ride along with them and contribute to the change.
Designer Cooperation?
“Siphosihle’s Masango.”
What Was the Outfit’s Inspiration?
The force of the waves crashing into the rocky shoreline motivated me. How they smooth and form the rocks, how they embrace and caress them. “Won’t it be interesting to play with fabric that shapes and embraces my body?” was my initial thinking.'”
Most Anticipated?
“The festive atmosphere and the splendour of the day’s attire.”
