“When I visit his grave, my heart is at peace, but I miss you so much,” said AKA’s mother.

After visiting her son’s burial, the late AKA’s mother, Lynn Forbes, recently posted a heartbreaking statement on Instagram that provided a window into her grieving process.

Forbes shared in a moving essay how her trips to AKA’s final resting place have changed over the years.

It’s getting easier to pay a visit to your grave. It provides me calm, stability, and a great deal of comfort all at once.

“You were correct when you asked me to come here frequently and take in this serene environment in my dream,” the woman wrote.

According to Lynn, she informs AKA on Kairo’s and the family’s progress on her visits.

She claimed that these get-togethers had evolved into a means of solace and preserving a close bond with her departed son.

“Anything I think you would like to know, makes me feel more connected to you,” she continued.

I sometimes find solace in simply having a quiet conversation and praying with you. Despite how much I miss you, my heart is content. I find comfort in visiting your grave, which has turned into a happy and serene event that preserves and upholds your memory.

AKA died in February of 2023.
AKA, real name Kiernan Forbes, and his companion Tebello Tibz Motsoane were shot and killed in Durban in February of last year.

As of right now, seven suspects are in custody. Due to their alleged involvement in the planning and execution of AKA and his friend’s murders, five of the defendants were refused bail.

The crew is accused of organising the killings, setting up a Mercedes Benz and weapons for the crime, and watching AKA before he was shot.

State prosecutor Lawrence Gcaba produced strong proof of the accused’s involvement in the murder plot, including phone logs and CCTV footage.
