According to reports, international celebrity Justin Timberlake was arrested for drunk driving in New York.
The hitmaker was reportedly charged after being taken into custody in Sag Harbour on Tuesday morning, according to the BBC.
According to the article, the Suffolk County District Attorney’s Office declared in a statement that Timberlake had bloodshot and glassy eyes and that there was a significant alcohol scent coming from his breath when the police stopped him.
According to reports, Timberlake refused to submit to a breathalyser test and informed the authorities that he had only had one martini.

On Tuesday night, CBS was apparently told by Edward Burke Jr., his attorney, that his client “will vigorously defend himself and is currently engaged in the discovery process with the District Attorney’s Office.”
According to the BBC, driving under the influence in New York carries fines of up to $1,000, a year in jail, and a minimum six-month suspension of one’s driving licence.
Since then, Timberlake’s supporters have reacted to his detention on social media.
